Minister Lex Delles Strengthens Luxembourg’s Space Partnerships During U.S. Mission
The visit took place alongside the 41st Colorado Springs Space Symposium, one of the most important global events for the space industry, offering a prime platform to promote Luxembourg’s rapidly growing space ecosystem.
From 12 to 15 April 2026, Luxembourg Minister of the Economy Lex Delles, led an economic mission to Colorado Springs, United States, aimed at strengthening transatlantic cooperation in the space sector. The mission took place alongside the 41st Space Symposium, one of the most important global events for the space industry, offering a prime platform to promote Luxembourg’s rapidly growing space ecosystem.
During the mission, Minister Delles held meetings with leading U.S. space companies, including Albedo, True Anomaly, Umbra and Hawkeye 360, to explore opportunities for cooperation, investment and European market development. He also met with the Lieutenant Governor of the State of Colorado, underlining the importance of close institutional ties with one of the most dynamic space regions in the United States. In addition, the Minister met Professor Jean Koster, Professor Emeritus of Aerospace Engineering at the University of Colorado Boulder, originally from Luxembourg, whose expertise and extensive academic networks contribute to strengthening links between the Luxembourg and U.S. space ecosystems.
This mission to Colorado Springs illustrates the dynamism and international reach of Luxembourg’s space ecosystem. The discussions I held with American companies and U.S. political representatives confirm that Luxembourg is perceived as a reliable strategic partner in the space sector. We will continue to work to strengthen these transatlantic partnerships for the benefit of our companies and our entire economy

A key highlight of the mission was the official announcement of the opening of Blue Origin’s European office in Luxembourg, reinforcing the country’s attractiveness as a strategic hub for major international space players. Overall, the mission reaffirmed Luxembourg’s position as a innovative and reliable partner in the global space economy.
